Adding an admin permission

nCo Nuke patched to .31, latest sentinel, BBtoNuke .20, and Approve Membership.

I have searched here, Karackas-online.de, and NukeCops for an answer.

Is there a tutorial about how to add an admin module to the admin permissions? I would like to give a couple members access to the MassEmail section and a roster Module I made that works with administration.

No there isn't only core modules have this access.

There has to be a way. Upon installation of Approve Membership, it added itself to the admin permissions. I now have 3 admins that have only access to Approve Membership.

If you are referring to the news letter mailer in the admin panel, then no there is no way to give non-superuser admins access to this. It's not a modules it's a superuser function. Designed this way to prevent inadvertant mass mailings.

Seven would be incorrect on her assumption, she is human and can make mistakes. Also remember the Approve Membership Mod rides on the back of a core module. Your_Account.

I figured it out. Make it a module and create an admin file in the module. the module index.php file just states "Do not Activate Me". Leave the module inactive and place all your code for the newsletter inside that admin file. Remove the old files that have to do with the Newsletter. In the main Admin folder, delete case.newsletter, links.newleter, and newsletter.php.

Newsletter now shows up in the List for admin permissions and I can give an admin access to only the Mass Emailer/Newsletter.

Actually, Every module designated to a super user can be designated to a non-super account as long as I do the same to the rest of the admin modules.

Actually I could have told you this but didn't because of the unknown factor, what security holes are you opening. I would NOT recommend this practice. I personally wouldn't want to find out the hard way.

Is there any way you can take a look at this and see if you think it could pose a risk? I have removed the link to use the Newsletter because we do not need to use it. The mass email is all we use. I also changed a bit to make the actual email would have a template.
