my 7.5 got exploited
i noticed theres alot of new exploits out such as a bunch of ddoser's. is there any way to restrict the number of online guests at one time on 7.5 ? this isnt a modifed version. just regular nuke 7.5. i have nuke senteniel 2.4.2 pl5 installed. but it doesnt matter becuase they happened. i own multiple sites and last night one was fryed and will have to be redone. i noticed my online guests went from 25 to 398 in a matter of 3 seconds. is there a way to stop this ?
Sorry no there is no way to stop this at the site level. Even most firewall aren't worth a damn against dos attacks
i figured it out !
well i figured out a way actually and its seems pretty usefull. i installed admin secure 1.7 that i downloaded from here, while the attack was under way and it has a feature to allow as many members on your site as you want @ one given time. i also noticed that after i installed this during the attack it stopped the lame attack. i just made it so only a few more then my members could view the page and it seems pretty effective. now i just gotta figure out how to reset my most online back to 0 lmfao.
You are also going to find that Admin Secure conflicts with many of the features of sentinel rendering it pretty much inoperable.
