Are you running 7.8.0.3.2?

HOw do I find out which version of 7.8 I am using?

Which one did you download?

If you installed it using fantastico or some other script installer those usually fail miserably.

If you did infact install 7.8.0.3.2 you need to run the updatedb.php file while logged in as admin.

It says version 2.3.1-rc1

What says that? There is no such thing as far as phpnuke goes! How was phpnuke installed. Did you upload it? Was it installed through your control panel? We can't help you unless you can provide us with USEFUL information.

I downloaded it then uploaded using WS_ftp Pro. Then nothing worked, I let my website provider know and he downloaded it and uploaded it and got everything working but the forums and the news. mod. My website provider also uses WS_FTP Pro. I uploaded manually. I do not know what he did to fix the rest. But he can't figure out how to fix the forums or the news mod. I am regretting doing this.

Your host probably didn't upload anything. He probably used the fantastico installer (which usually fails). I would remove my current nuke install and upload myself. Following this tutorial
http://nukecode.com/modules.php?name=Tutoriaux&rop=tutoriaux&did=2 as a guide.

PHP-Nuke isn't hard to install. If you can follow directions you shouldn't have any issues. Also don't use 7.7, 7.8 or 7.9 they are not secure. Use 7.6.0.3.2 or 7.6 Ultra
