Webhost upgraded phpversion to 5
Hey all my host upgraded their phpversion to 5.0 or 5 something. Anyways now that they have I am unable to load my site. How can i fix this if the database was written in PHP Version: 4.3.9..... Nco ultra 7.6 patched 3.1
Sorry about tha frantic post there. I recalled my host because what habib in india told me made no sense. I was told I had to upgarde something in my files yet I have no acess to the datbases because they are still upgrading... But it should still work I hope
Slow down there.
Exactly what problems are you having?
I was told by my webhost earlier that my phpnuke application will not work on the server anymore They just upgraded today and the site was down. When I called on the phone I was informed that my nuke application had to also be upgraded is that true?? Currently the site is down
how about a link to your site?
There is no real reason for it to not work at all. Unless php was compiled incorrectly.
Here is a test you can try.
Open conf/settings.php and find:
Code: :
$display_errors = false;
change it to:
Code: :
$display_errors = true;
Lets see what if any errors you might be getting.
If there is nothing. You might want to consider a new host. It's very irresponsible of a host to tell a user something that isn't true.
There are no upgrades to phpnuke, to my knowledge (said for some minor code changes to phpbb.... sometimes) in order for it to work on 5.0.x
Thanks Nuke and Jae My site was restored just fine. My webhost I power got an earful from me. i was in a panic because I was told phpnuke will not run on php5 but it does and there are no errors at all. You are right that was a real irresponsible thing to do considering I trust what I am told when my time is up I will be shopping for a new host. There service has gone down hill considerably. thanks for the quick response
Keep us in mind when the time comes for a new host.
