Hey gravis.... The little pop up block is sentinel challangeing you... Thats part of the log in to admin.php..... If you don't enter your user name and password that is protected by sentinel it will ban you... Thats a normal function of the script....

gravis, did you write the correct info to your .htaccess file?

In Sentinel Admin, you will see CGIAuth Setup right under staccess Path:. Click that link and it will give you code for you to paste in your .htaccess file

Once that code is in there, make sure your paths are correct and then set all your admin passwords and stuff and activate CGIAuth. That should take care of your problem.

I think he actually activated .htaccess without first protecting himself or the other admins. CGI Auth and HTTP Auth are two entirely different forms of authoriziation. With .htaccess NukeSentinel writes the information needed to the .htaccess files. This information would be your banned ips. But to follow up on what you just said you must also build your CGI .staccess admin file. You left that step out. You must do that before you paste the information it give you to put in your .htaccess file.

I have an issue after upgrading Sentinel to 2.5.0.4
When i'm in the admin section, and click on the sentinel icon, it takes up to a minute before it shows on my screen, this is the only one working that slow ? all others work at normal speed.
And inside sentinel exactly the same, slow as hell, what could be the problem here, cant figure it out?

Anyone has the same prob ?

It sounds like it either is not set up correctly
or
A file is missing

I would start by checking the obvious and reuploading everything
