Any know issues so far with Sentinel 2.5
Hey guts thought I would ask if there are any known issues so far with the newest security updates in sentinel.. I usually wait a couple weeks before I apply them in case there is any issues.....
I had a friend install the update, I also installed the new update and not had any known problems with it so far. Not saying there wont be if any but just saying from what I have experienced so far there haven't been any.
have you tried the flood protection yet ..... just interested if the issues have been resolved
Just now configured that feature, forgot all about it. Will let you know if it works or not. You can install NukeSentinel and just not configure the Flood Protection blocker settings. I will report back if I am experiencing any probelms with flood protection.
Thanks Data getting ready to upload the files now.. I generally leave the flood off anyways since its only a small help against a flood...
I have already tested it on myself. It has been completely redone and from what I can tell works great. Make sure you make a ftaccess file and chmod it to 666. There is your big change the database isn't responsible for the way the flood control functions. So it is really worth it.
Yeah I did the ftacess file already I am pleased with the changes they made to the admin panel as well quiet a few addy goodies to make things easier.. Ill advise if I hit any snags thanks guys for the quick replies
Is there a tutorial or any help you could give me on how to make a ftaccess. Thank you.
make a file call it .ftaccess, upload said file to your server, chmod it to 666, then activate Flood Blocker from within nuke sentinel.
Another way of doing this is take the included sample.ftaccess file and rename it. Take the sample off and then you have your .ftaccess file. Same thing goes for your .htaccess and your .staccess files.
Thank you Sevenofnine and also Databaseerror. I know a little but that was a bit advanced. Now when I make these three files do I just put them all in the main directory along with for ex. the config.php is located. I appreciate the help and clearing that up. Thanks for the great job all of you do here.
OK, I am all upgraded to sen 2.5.00 updated. I also have the three files on there .ftaccess, .htaccess, .staccess chmod to 666 with a problem. I narrowed it down to the .htaccess file. when it is on there I try to log in to admin or out of admin and it gives me that windows login for like accessing a router. Smal square box with keys on top asking user:, pass:, and if I want it to remember the pass. If I take the .htaccess out and leave the .st and .ft it works fine so far. Any Ideas?
Using the code tags paste the contents of your .htaccess file. Also do you know when you set up NukeSentinel if you enabled HTTP Auth for your .htaccess. If so did you scan for new admins and protect your self and the other admins via the Admin Auth List.
Lost me on using the code tags, But yes. I did Auth the admins. Just me at the moment. I will double chack that thank you.
i have it all installed on my website and it works fine, but then again i don't know what im doing.
