No more HTML Formatting and slashes on text
nCo Nuke 7.6(was .31, now .32)
Sentinel 2.5
Approve Membership for 7.6 patched to .32
I am having problems with some of the modules where I write my messages, stories, and the Content.
The quotes are slashed and the HTML is stripped. The same goes when I preview the newsletter. On preview, all HTML is stripped and I have to re-code it all over again.
See
THIS site for the tester and compare with
THIS site which is the real deal only patched to .31. Notice that the message is formatted differently and slashed than the real thing.
Also the Chapters page should be a flash image and it is missing also.
In the content, any editing done places a new set of slashes on the quotes and still removes any editing.
Hmmm I don't know how I missed this please accept my apologies.
When you patched did you run the upgrader and although some people try and skip it I have to ask. Did you replace the settings.php file with the one in the patch? I am asking because you would be amazed how many people think they can skip over it.
That's OK Seven, I replaced every file in the patch. Since this post never got a reply, I just gave up (had other things I needed to get done), so I just removed the test site.
Maybe in a week or two, I will try it again.
BTW, if I have a module that is not patched to .32, what are the major code changes to get it patched? Is there something somewhere I can follow to corretly patch a module manually?
That information can be found in the file called basic.html included with the patch.

OK, tried again using a fresh install.
I'm just having probs with the content module not formatting HTML right. I can hand the keys over if you wish.
Oh, It also adds the number 3 at the end of the content header every time I edit a page.
I don't even see the number 3 in the code period for the entire content module.
After 3 edits, the page adds about 10 forward slashes on any quote.
boham I have to go out of town for a few days, i'll be back wesnesday evening. I'll be happy to look at it for you upon my return.

Your content problem should be fixed. However the problem lies within the server magic_quotes_gpc should be set to off. It's on causing the slashes.
I uploaded the content module from the upcoming 3.3 patch which overrides the magic_quotes and the content module works fine.
Stick with the 3.1 patch for now and I would like to enlist you has a beta tester for the 3.3 patch your test site would be ideal.
Thanks Seven. I will be happy to beta test for you. Just let me know when.
