Blocks - Having problems with a block? Code doesn't work, get help here.

Requesting a Block

Ok, I'm not sure if this is possible from here, but I would like to request a block, or some help on Creating a block.

I know something similar has been made on another site, and I would like to get it incorporated into my site as well since it is for the same kind of game. (Deer Hunter 2005)

I would like for people to be able to add there Trophies (Deer that they shot) to the site and for others to be able to view them or download them and be able to view them with the Trophy Viewer from the game.

The site that this block, or whatever it is, is on is

http://www.mydeerhunter.com

When you log in, there is a section on the top left where the userpanel is where you can *View My Profile* *View My Trophies* and *Add A Trophy*

Basically, all I wanted was the 2 incorporated into it *View My Trophies* and *Add A Trophy*

The name would be Trophy Block ofcourse. I'm not sure if this is accomplishable or if someone has already created a type of block that can just be edited. Also, I'm not sure if I have to add more pages to my site for this to be accomplished or if those would basically be added when the block is created.

I think you would basically have to create a Block just like the Navigation type of block and put those 2 links in there, and then Modules would have to be created for those 2 links to be able to view the separate areas of those links and upload your trophies from your own computer.

If this can be accomplished I would be very gratefull for it.

I have never really worked with PHP coding before, only HTML and very little of it at that.

If there is any other information that you need, please feel free to reply and ask me for more information on the subject. I will see what i can do to create part of the Block/Module myself, but it is going to be a hard task for me to do and a lot of work put into it at that.

I'm running PHP Nuke 7.9

If you need to see what I mean without creating your own account on the MyDeerHunter Site, please use the login below:

The block I would like to create is in the same area where you login, click the links and see what other information is needed to create the block and modules for a site.

It is going to be a big project, so I will try to help out the best I can as well.

http://www.mydeerhunter.com = NOT PHPNUKE

We do not support whatever this is.

Ok, so you don't support it, but is there any way to make something to match it?

Have the same style or something where people can upload there Trophies from the game onto the site and have them listed on separate pages as to what trophies are what and who uploaded them?

Actually.....I think there is something you could play around with.....

http://www.gnaunited.com/modules.php?name=Downloads

With some tweaking, you might be able to do some conversion to it....

I'll keep an eye open...maybe something will do a better job.......

You might also think about an image gallery also, with a section called Trophys.....

Cool

Well, that link really didn't help me out to much, not sure what you were trying to send me to with that.

I wasn't really talking about a Image Gallery either. I wanted them to be able to upload there trophies on there own, and then have them listed on a separate page called *My Trophies* and have a button towards the right side where they can download the trophies and view them with the Trophy Viewer that comes with the game.

I also wanted to add links to different pages for all the separate kinds of bucks and have them listed in order from best to worst buck so everyone on the site can see who has the best buck and be able to click another button to the right to download the Trophy and View it in the Trophy Viewer.

I didn't figure anyone would be able to understand what I was talking about, so that's why I added the link to the page it is already on, and a Testing Username and Password so you can see it for yourself.

I don't want to be rude. But I will state this again. We do not support whatever CMS that is. That means NO we can not make things for it. It doesn't even look familiar to me. If it doesn't even look familiar to us, obviously we won't know the backbone of it and how it is put together. So making modules, blocks, etc, isn't really possible. Creating logins or anything else is not going to help. This site supports 2 things PHP-Nuke and PHP-Nuke Ultra, NOTHING MORE!
