Installation - PHP-NUKE Installation
Help please - I'm an idiot - obviously
Can somebody help me install Nuke version 8.1 please. I got so far and then failed - repeatedly at this
Doesn't seem to matter what I put in - Local host, root, user name etc etc. It just gives me a 'password incorrect' message. - No it's not!
I'm going mad here! If I have to pay 5 bucks to get it installed then so be it but I'd really like to know what the heck is wrong for the future. PLEASE...
Do I sound desperate....frustrated? Yes, I am LOL - 16 hour days at work and three evenings now trying to sort this out. Please help.

Now I get this. Is there an error with the database or is the type not supported??

Seems to be a problem with your database.
Just a bit of feedback here guys - You won't like it but this is the most unhelpful forum I've ever come across. Luckilly I found another one where some kind soul pointed out my error and the site is now up and running.

You did recieve feedback, as stated it was a problem with your database. Other than actually doing the work for you what would you rather has us do ?
Anyone can point a link to a tutorial or point out a possible problem which is already written on the error message I posted.
Some suggestions as to why from people with experience or knowledge like you get on other sites would be good.
And you misread my message. I wasn't saying 'how about some feedback for me?'

I did not misread I understood you was giving feedback and not looking for it . Making a database isnt rocket science and we pointed you toward a tutorial that we point everyone to.
Then there's not much point having forums is there? Just point everyone trying to learn at the tutorials. Don't discuss, bebate or help.
I am a member of many forums and there I find and give (yes, I am adept at HTML even though I know nothing, yet, of PHP) help and assistance.
That's what a forums for. You may as well just have a link to the tutorials instead of forums.
I have many more questions that I would like to discuss and talk through and hoped this would be the place to get help. A link to the tutorials instead of discussion and suggestions is a bit sad with all the knowledge you guys must have.
Do you mind if I post other questions elsewhere without getting the obligatory admin response of 'read the tutorials?' I'm only looking for help here guys.
We all start somewhere.

Yes you may ask questions, if you would use the search function you would see we have discussed database issues a couple of times. We are here to help but must also maximize our time since we have things to do as well.
