New Admins
I am using 7.9 and When I try to add a new admin I fill out the fields and press submit and all I get is a blank page. It will not accept any new admins whatsoever. I already have a god admin and one other. is there something I need to change...?
Close out your website, delete all of your browser cookies, login to the God admin account then add the admin.
Just does exactley the same blank screen at the admin.php address
Just thought I would toss my 2 cents in this problem, one thing I have learned in my short time playing with PHP, HTML is that most “blank white page” is some sort of error!
With the coding related to the php or html scripting do to incompatibility with the software the server is running! Version of PHP, MySql, Apache configuration, and an issue with the upload of the site, example FTP program crapped out half way through the copy process, and corrupted the file.
One last thing If you happen to have access to the config.php file change the value of display_errors to true. Just some random thoughts on this vague subject.
CriticalError does have a valid point. I would suggest that you reupload your admin folder back up to your server. If this doesn't work then my thoughts are that it is a server based issue. But I really wouldn't see how you created the God admin and another admin if this were the case. What version of 7.9 are you running and does it have any security patches applied. Also what security are you running on your site like Nuke Sentinel or any other security module.
ok guys I changed the Display errors to true...still a white page and no errors.. I have re uploaded the file ...the same. I have removed from the site a couple of admin security modules but nothing seems to do the trick.
I remember the during the early part of the year I did add a Admin and everything worked fine. Is there anything that added would alter the ability to add an admin ?
I dont know how to get the information on which version I am using

Just a few more of my random thoughts on this subject, my first suggestion would be to check the admin.php as that file is used in the progression of completing that step as with the other issue you’re experiencing.
Could be possibly that you have error in that file from the installation of any giving security package that you might have installed. Also if you are seeing that same blank white page at
http://yoursite.com/admin.php. Then my bet would be that your sole problem relies around some sort of error in the code or add-on code. Possibly try replacing that file with the original one from the install.
To find out what version you are running. The simplest way to find out would to be look in the MySql database. Find the _config table, and then check the Version_Num field.
Ok Guys...what I have done is added the two new admins through PHPmyadmin manually and all is working ok. we are going for a upgrade after christmas anyhows so hopefully the problem will be solved. I am going to stay with 7.9 basically cos I know it now and it works ok but we are going to install the patched version as ours aint...
can you make a copy of all users without having to have everyone re register...thats the main worry for me to reinstall
