Application to automate backup of Databases

Wasn't sure where this should go, so figured I couldn't go wrong with 'off topic'
I have a site hosted on a system that I have access to phpmyadmin but what I'm looking to do is find an application that will automatically connect to the hosting service and download to my local server a backup copy of the databases located there.
Anyone have any recommendations on a program? The less expensive the better, but I'm willing to spend money for something that works good.

if its just for backups do it by hand
you can do a full server backup in 30 secs
