Downlad module
Hello.
I've been searching for a download module/component that fits my needs.
I'm creating a site that basically it's a downloads site. The download module I need got to have capabaility to include several informations about the file, such as version, size, author, release date, etc, and allow to add displaying images for thumbnails and screenshots.
But the thing is that I need it to allow remote files, and also the thumbnails and related images would need to be remotely hosted too...
For all the php-nuke sites I've been across, all the download modules have a similar aspect. And don't seem to fit my need. But I'm unsure. I've searched for download modules, on this site and on NukeScripts, noticed the NSN GR Downloads but I can't find the last version, only the 750pl2 and I know thi one isn't the last one.
What I'm looking for is something like Remository
http://remository.com system. I've tested it and the only thing is that it doesn't allow remote thumbnails. And, it is not for PHP-Nuke.
What do you suggest? I'm considering on mooving to Joomla over this!
Please, help!

You'd regret it in a hurry.. I have experimented with joomla/mambo, they are not at all nealry as user friendly, don't come with a downloads module (all such modules are user written and not very good either) and very limited in themes (unless you want to pay for one), support is poor at best.
Joomla yuck i would not make that move its an ugly cms and for the end user its hard to use like sevan said
