Users Online Not showing and personal messages not working
As per the image below "user online" is not displaying data,
also personal messages are not working (the process completes but nothing is sent to the recipient or appears in the outbox or sentbox).
Also, Forum search fuction does not work (returns to a blank page)
Also, IP tracking does not show a "Yes" against those "online"
I'm thinking all problems are related ?
**I looked through myphpadmin and found that the "nuke_sessions" table gives this error ( Can't open file: 'nuke_session.MYI'. (errno: 145) )
??Would this be related to the above problems ?
??how would I fix??
any assistance / suggestions would be greatly apprciated, please bare in mind NO Expert here lol so if you can keep it fairly simple.
Thanks in advance,
First off you can start by telling us what version of php-nuke you are using. Second a link to your site would be helpful in us making a determination on what the problem is on your site. For your error try this log in cpanel, click MySQL Databases, scroll down click on PhpMyAdmin, choose your Database, scroll down, click on the box marked nuke_session look to your right you should see a browse button when you put your mouse over it click on that, very top you will see Operations click on that, to the right under Table Maintance you will see Repair Table click that. Should repair your table. If this doesnt help let us know.
DataBaseError,
Thankyou for your reply, and I oppologize for the omition of nuke version and site link.
I have been able to fix the "who's online" display

I droped the "nuke_sessions" table and restored it.
However the other Two problems still exist
a) Personal messages not working.
b) Forum search not working.

Ok what version of phpbb are you running on your site. Your pm's not working I would login your admin area click forums, look under General Admin and click on Configuration. Look under the section Private Messaging and make sure that you have it Enabled if not enable it and scroll down and save your changes.
Sounds like it could also very possibly be a database issue. From reading everything I have read here. It sounds like you may just have some corrupt tables in the database or corrupted or missing files in your nuke install. So do you have a backup of it from when you know for a fact everything was working?
You could also try repairing the tables using phpMyAdmin.
Lastly what changes if any have you made to the site recently. Suck as patching, Possibly a newer version of sentinel was installed.
Thanks all for your attention and suggestions
We seem to have corrected the problem now
FYI , it was a few problems , Some database issues + some files within the "includes" where replaced.
