Question on Sentinel...
Hello I have the nCo modified 7.6 ultra.. upgraded to patch 3.1. Now I know there is a new sentinel patch out and as for the one that is in nCo ultra it shows as 2.2.0 .. I seen that there is a 2.4.1 and a ipcountry pacth. Do I need to upgrade with both or just the ip country. I am kinda lost on that. Thanks for the help.
Ok you have 1 of 2 options here, you can either update it to the newest version which you would have to download each version from 2.2.0 to the newest version 2.4.1. That would require you to update each version before you go to the next. The next option is upload the
file to your root and run it thru you admin area. For the sentinel option you want to uninstall or destall is the actual option. Once you have done that you will need to go into your ftp and delete ALL of the old sentinel files. Best way is to grab a copy of 2.2.0 and follow the file structure deleting the files as you follow it. Then log in Cpanel >> MySQLDatabases >>>> PhpMyAdmin >>> Databases >>> Choose your database. And drop any table that begins with and only that table prefix example of one table would be nuke_nsnst_admins. To drop the tables simply check them down at the very bottom find the drop down box that says "With Selected" drop the box down to DROP then confirm that you want to drop those tables. Then upload the new version of NukeSentinel 2.4.1 and run the again this time select new install. Should all install fine. Make sure to check the core files are edited properly according to the instructions. You will need to configure all of you settings again. And as always we advise you to fully backup your site before doing this type of stuff.
Note: older versions of sentinel were simply called Sentinel and the files and folders were called sentinel. New versions are called NukeSentinel. I hope this clears that up a bit. nCo Ultra there is no need to delete files everything was called NukeSentinel at this point - NukeCode
Ok Thanks. I have a problem though. It won't let me run the nsnst.php. As soon as I do it gives me a blank white page. Ok this is what I have..
NukeSentinel 2.2.0 pl4
nCo modifided 7.6.0.3.1.
forums 2.0.16
After I installed it I ran the patch to update from 2.9 to 3.1 and then ran the forums update to update from 2.0.14 to 2.0.16. From looking at the file it shows that 2.2.0 pl4 is for the 2.9 of nuke. So now where do i go from there. Is there an updater for sentinel that i can just easily update it.
nCo Ultra Patched 3.1 includes:
phpbb 2.0.16
nuke sentinel 2.4.1
and nuke patched 3.1 as well as several other fixes
I specifically plastered the thing with readme files in hopes people would read them BEFORE APPLYING THE PATCH AS INSTRUCTED!
If you had you would have know how to run ALL THE UPGRADERS!
IP to country is part of sentinel but optional. in sentinel administration you can import the data. The sentinel nsnst.php file MUST BE RUN, if you weren't already running NukeSentinel 2.4.1
You are completely right Nukecode and I am sorry after reviewing it again I did the 3.0 but I swear I had the 3.1. I have downloaded the 3.1 now and will read over that and upload it. Thanks for the help and sorry for my mixup.
Ehhh don't worry about him he's just sore cause I beat him at Ypool!
1 Game out of how many? No problem. Just be careful as your patching and backup FIRST!

ok i backed up first... I have got all the 3.1 updated. Now I am on to the sentinal... From what I have read and take it it show mainfile7.1 - 7.8 and your account index7.4 -7.8 and javascript. So What I take is I need to edit the mainfile and the your account index pointing at 7.6 cause that is what I have the nCo 7.6 but I don't have a clue what the javascript would be for as it is a text file. After doing that I run the nsnst.php. Just wanting to make sure I am right before I proceed on. Thanks for the Help.
You don't need to edit anything. Everything is already edited just run the installer.

All you have to decide is whether you want a fresh install, in which case you need to deinstall first. OR Just run each of the upgrade options until you get to 2.4.1
Thats it.
Ok sweet. So what are the mainfile and index in the sentienl edits folder for.. Sorry just don't want to break my site and have to redo all of it again.. lol.
Edit: Ok It seem to work seemlessly. Awesome work and ty for the great updates. That was pretty easy. Now I seen the changes to get my right blocks back on the right side but it says in modules and in themes. Not sure what that means is in which file. Thanks for the great work and assistance yall give.

Would hold the answer but to elaborate it would be the theme.php file for themes and index.php for each individual module. Except those that don't naturally show the right blocks like forums or content.
Awesome. Ok Thanks for all the help it is much appreciated.
