Installation [nCo Mod] - Installation Questions and Discussion

nCo NUKE 7.4a

Hello again,

Let me start by saying don't jump on me. yea she knows who I am talking about Shocked
I am just asking a question?

BLESS you NUKECODE, I installed the nCo Nuke 7.4a it appears you added everything already ??? Please say yes.......

I just got done reading the Basic.html and the Readme.html file you know the Chatserv patch (shivvvverrr) Crying or Very sad There is no way in the world I would do all that. Please tell me you did,,,, PLEASE....
I see you already added all the mods EXCELLENT!!!!! I will load two databases / SITES I for testing and One to use. I will run test all ALL mods and blocks and give you the feedback.

One other question, Why do we need to have Chatserv patches every release of Nuke? can't they write that into it before releasing it? I am sure they know by now.

P.s I have done so many Nuke installs I don't even bother with the instructions, eg... set config server db name etc.. set ultra to 666. etc..
That's all I did and upload and O!!! it is nice MODS already loaded just need to activate them in modules and add in blocks if desired.

BUT< the shiver... shake ..shake> Rolling Eyes DId you guys do the chatserv patches already? Because I WON'T even if you paid me!!!!! But It would be really cool if you guys had already done them.. Wink

ANXIOUSLY WAITING your reply.
Thank you, Nukecode

You'll have to excuse my sister she can be e grizzly at times but she means well.
Yes the chatserv patches are done upto the newest. The reason for chatserv doing all the work he does is to help secure our sites, something we all should say thank you to him for.

Part of the problem is this FB doesn't seem to care anymore and he is only in it for the money. Example NSN Nuke 7.1 was already patched. nCo Nuke 7.2 came out patched. FB didn't bother to start patching (and we wouldn't need to if he wasn't so lazy and wrote the code properly to begin with) until 7.3 if memory serves me correctly. Even 7.4 is only patched upto 2.4 from what I been told by a few others in the community. I won't speculate on that because I really don't know.

Patching isn't hard, what bugs me is not enough people do it. then complain when thier sites get hacked due to poorly written code. Again ignore m4id3n she's harmless just too smart for her own good.

OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yahooooooooo
Ok I am putting a link on my site to your site, anyone ask where did you get that It will say go here.

I'm just messing with your sis, seeing if I can get her fired up again Twisted Evil I know she has a Huge board on her shoulder, hehehehe
Oh this is so cool I have worked so hard for 2 weeks around the clock, and I just uploaded it to a testsite and man it is nice.... WELL DONE.
In 20-30 minutes I quickly tested all the links, all looks good so far.
I added the Kenetix essence theme just for a test, It lo and behold the Cpanel actually works "first time it ever worked for me"

I plan on loading quite a bit to test. It doesn't bother me if I crash it. I have crashed 6 or 7 already Mr. Green That's how I learn, I am wierd.
But at the same time that's how I get a solid load. Find out what conflicts (if any) with each other.

who is this FB person, ? (an old author who went money side now?)
And Yes thank you chatserv for putting in hours of work!!!!!!!
Reason why I said I wouldn't do it if you paid me is I know I would screw it up somewhere, leave out a (') or (-db) or hit the space bar etc..... I get excited when I can type a forum with no typo's, Wink and they wanted me to edit all them files ,,, haha no way.

Wierd not many other sites have 7.4 out? I have seen 1 or 2 others besides nukecode. BUT THEY don't have the nCo 7.4a.

Who did the nCo part? you guys?
It installed so easy... The best I have seen.....

SIDENOTE*** AS of now any newbies loading PHP forget all other sites use this nCo Nuke 7.4a version FROM HERE nukecode (as A new install only). saves Hours of work, There may be some glitches here and there down the road but as of now, I have seen none. I have seen pretty much all the other sites that have downloads, none have this.

THIS MAY BE wrong, But ALL I did was edit the --->[folder path] nCo Modified PHP-Nuke 7.4 / html / config.php <---file
Open it up {config.php} to EDIT, in your favorite FTP or Notepad.

Oh forgot I uploaded everything IN<-- the html folder, inside of it, not the html folder itself. To my root ,,,,
Scroll down to:

$dbhost = "localhost"; Inside of the quotation marks " here " Put your Server name of your database, your hosting company will have this if you don't know where to locate it at, call them. Fogot You first need to setup the database give it a name and password (save name and password for later use)
$dbuname = ""; inside of these quotation marks " here " put the username you gave your database.
$dbpass = ""; inside of these quotation marks " here " put Your database password
$dbname = ""; inside of these quotation marks " here " put the name of the database you created. which is usually the same name as the database user
$prefix = "nuke"; I left this as is
$user_prefix = "nuke"; I left this as is

$dbtype = "MySQL"; I left this as is, others may need to change this

$sitekey = "SdFk*faf28367-dvhjd6554w69.3a2efre1234+e9"; I changed my sitekey number and wrote it down
$gfx_chk = 7; I left this as is

$subscription_url = ""; I left this as is

Then i went to the file in the root directory called ultramode.txt and clicked on properties, and changed the numbers to 666.

Than I went to: yourwebsite(domain name).com /admin.php
From my web Browser. Self explainatory from here.

And I ws done. Now I didn't read all the instructions cause I was kinda in a rush, But I intend on reading them, But they gave me a headache looking at them. Shocked

Create your Super User account immediately and boom all done, add your add-ons. run optimize databse and make a backup of the database after each new load of any item, also once your site gets big or near done What I did was download it all (copy it) the files and the folders back to my hard drive so I could restore that also if needed.

NOW remember, I could care less if it crashed, I have done to many to care anymore, LOL LOL but so far this nCo nuke 7.4a is the best I have seen!!!!

I stand open for constructive critisisum <----(can't spell) from nukecode or any correction to what I wrote, they are the experts NOT ME.
I am just so thrilled I thought I would try to help, even if it helps ONE person.

Also If allowed I will post all the MODS / themes / blocks etc.. I test on this and combinations of them to help.
OK BOOK 1 Volume 1 down hahaha ---sorry just so happy FINALLY!!!![/i]

Well to start with we are glad you like our little creation. I guess that answers who made nCo modified PHP-Nuke 7.4 It's our vision of what PHP-Nuke should be.

The reason you haven't seen PHP-Nuke on many other sites has allot to do with how FB (Francisco Burzi) does things. If you want an original copy of it you have to join his so called club http://phpnuke.org Where he will be more then happy to charge you $10.00 for it. I don't begrudge anyone the right to make money and it's his right to charge for it. However if you wait once the next version comes out it will be free to download, just like any other version.

Feel free to mod the hell out of it. Let us know the results of what you get. This site has an even more modified version of nCo modified PHP-Nuke 7.4a which will eventually lead to nCo Nuke 7.4b (we hope)! As far as other sites having nCo Modified PHP-Nuke 7.4a most will not as we haven't marketed it as of yet we will start doing that in a couple days in hopes other sites will take it on, if they care too.

Yes that was us. nCo = NukeCode.

Code: :

Great detailing of the config.php file, I couldn't have done it any better myself. However let me elaborate on a couple things.
1. Most of us will never have to change the $dbtype = "MySQL" it's default on most hosts because it's "Open Source" (free).
2. $gfx_chk = 7 this can be changed to a number of different things. Some servers don't support this if your graphic doesn't show at all then set it to $gfx_chk = 0
3. Make sure you change the $sitekey if you don't your site may not work.

Do You mind if I start a New thread for newbies {like me}, on how to install and Mods/blocks/themes/ etc... that I have tested on this nCo 7.4a ? And of course Would expect you guys to read and correct any wrong statements i make or procedures.

I would like to clean up what I posted yesterday in a more readable form.
Sometimes to much text can confuss people, (like me). And I was up 27 hours when I wrote all that... that BOOK, hahaha.

Thank you,
sir

P.s I will post one of my sites for all to see but right now they are kinda messy. Doing testing.

No please feel free. Thats why these forums exsist.

Thanks I will start today

Need little help

Hi every one i dont no this is right area to post about my site but i realy need help i install(nCo Modified PHP-Nuke 7.4) theme and after that i install(No_mail_YA_hack74.zip) but when any one try to registeron my site main page appears again dont no whats the problem my site adress is http://www.ptv2.tk
and one more thing with shout box when i click on admin panel of shout box this error comes {Warning: main(admin/modules/ShoutBlock.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/web402/html/ptv2/home/admin/case/case.shoutblock.php on line 20

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'admin/modules/ShoutBlock.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/home/www/confixx/html/include:/home/www/confixx/html') in /home/www/web402/html/ptv2/home/admin/case/case.shoutblock.php on line 20
}

thanks i will cheak back for replay

In the future start a new post. I almost missed this whole thing and it has nothing to do with the topic that was beinf discussed. Just a little forum etiquete

I need more info, Did you run the nomail.sql? if not then it will not work and all the new users will be stuck in the user_temp table forever. Based on what your site is doing I would say you didn't run the no mail.sql. Run it and try again.

As far as the shoutbox issues reinstall it and make sure you put all the files in thier proper place. admin files go in their respective folders in the admins folder.

{Warning: main(admin/modules/ShoutBlock.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/web402/html/ptv2/home/admin/case/case.shoutblock.php on line 20

}

This tells me without doing much invertigating that /admin/modules/ShoutBlock.php is either missing or corrupted.

Nothing happens again

Yes i run no email .sql this thing come out{CREATE TABLE nuke_users_verify (
uv_id int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
username varchar(25) NOT NULL default '',
user_question varchar(255) default '',
user_answer text,
PRIMARY KEY (uv_id),
KEY id (uv_id),
KEY uname (username)
) TYPE=MyISAM;

}
But still noone canlogin on site
i reinstall shout box but same error there

How did you run the no email.sql? Secondly which shoutbox you using I should have asked that from the beginning and did you run the install for it as well. Have to cover all the basics because that error says to me files are missing and sql is misconfigured

Still cant fix that

Hi thanks for your replay Arrow But i cant fix any thing? any thing wrong with my theme? iam using (Quiecom Shoutbox 2.4) shout box and i run no mailsql via my internet explorer

OK I think I understand the problem to install the nomail.sql file you must go into your cpanel and run a sql query in myphpadmin. If you aren't sure how to do that then we will be happy to help contact me via PM and we can arrange for an admin to contact you and help you set these things up properly.

site key

ok this is probably the stupidest question you will get but where do you get your site key? i know it's in your config.php file but how do you know what your own is? does it automatically give you a site key? HELP!!!! Exclamation

This isn't rocket science this using a forum thing.... Make new posts don't add to posts that have nothing to do with what you are discussing... You make up the site key
