Hello,
I am trying to find a tutorial or some help understanding how to add this:
(Birthday Mod.
Niels. This mod will add a birthday field into your user's profile and make users age viewable to others when viewing posts. MOD Version: 1.5.7 Compatibility: 2.0.6)
to my site. I’m not sure what information to provide, so I will provide all that I can find.
I believe we use phpnuke 7.8 (I am unsure about this, because even though I paid for this site, the other administrator downloaded it and has just recently given me access to the index. If it is not 7.8, it is 7.7. So, if you know where I can find this information out, it would be appreciated.)
I use phpbb 2.0.15 forum index.
I use FileZilla.
I am using Disipal theme named - BiteMe.

I am unsure of what you mean by what "server" I'm on. But I'm sure I could find that information if I knew what I was actually looking for.
I have searched your site for information regarding this topic and did not find anything that was similar. (I may have been typing in the wrong search words as well and I apologize if this is posted elsewhere.) I have already downloaded the folder, but am not sure how to begin backing up my files on FileZilla properly. I have read the ReadMe, but am concerned that I might screw something up since I am not very familiar with working with this type of thing.
Everything in parenthesis and bold are instructions that came with the download.

I do not know what files are related to this MOD.
(This MOD need a database update. Then, as you must have now copied the birthday_db_update.php file in your phpBB root directory, run it with your navigator... http://www.yourWebSite.xxx/phpbbRootDir/birthday_db_update.php ...and then delete it from the phpBB root directory!!!)
I do not know where the phpBB root directory is. Is the navigator my FTP client?
(Please, do it NOW! Before editing phpBB files by EM or manually!!! Otherwise, you may have an error message during your next connection.)
I do not know what EM means. The next thing it says is open index.php but I’m not sure which one to open. There are tons of (index.php) on our site in several different folders.
So, am I on the wrong forum? Or is there someone that can direct me to the right place? Or simply help me out?
And if I have provided information here that you know can cause problems at my site, please feel free to delete that information.
This mod is compatiable with your forums. I must however caution you that this task is not easy if you dont have knowledge of making edits to your core files among other files in your modules/Forums folder. I would suggest that find someone with more experience do this. You must edit a couple of core files not to mention some .tpl files. Be sure to always back your site up completely before you do any modifications. So I would suggest that you talk to the person that set up the site, or quite possibly to your host and see if one of them will install this mod for you.
