version??
ive heard that only certain things work on specific versions of sites, how can i find out what version i have for mine??
You have heard correctly. There are many ways to tell what version of nuke one is running the easiest would be to run
Analyze It will tell you everything you want to know about your nuke install and more.
thnx very much, ive only been working with php-nuke for a few months, and too me its a whole lot simpler than producing a really good html coded site, god knows why lol, so as u can imagine i will probably be here alot of the next few days as we are working on updating our site

Hello Guys...I am currently trying to figure out what version of PHP I am using and I ran the Analyze.php and it says I am running "Category Value
PHP Version 4.3.11".
What exact version is this ? 6.? or 7.? ...
Thanks and have a beer on me

Ok there is php (4.3.11)..... Backend software
phpnuke (6.x or 7.) CMS or content management system.
Don't confuse the 2 they aren't the same.
Without php, phpnuke wouldn't function. However php can live all by itself and is the backbone of many other programs such as mambo, post nuke, the list goes on forever.
Cool , Ok , so the next question is. What do I need to upgrade this version to the 7.6 ultra ?
Once again...have a beer on me (thats 2 I owe you now

You can't ultra is for NEW installs only.
O darn....how would one go about uninstalling there current version to install 7.6 ?
Just delete your core of your site, meaning everything you built the site with, you dont have to delete your downloads folder and upload nCo 7.6 ultra. Then drop your database and make a new one. That is basically all you have to do to install it. You will have some configuring to do but that is about it.
Sweet , I just installed the 7.6 Ultra on a test server , was pretty easy...
Thanks guyz !
