i entered meta keywords in includes/meta.php
but search engines will not find my search.

It can take up to 6 months for a search engine to spider your site and longer to pick up changes. Don't be surprised it it takes upto a year for some search engines to even look at your site.

entering in the meta file is enough huh? or do i need to submit somewhere?

of course setting the metatags helps ALWAYS. So no you don't want to change them back. here is a link to googles submission http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl remember this even when you submit there is no garrantee that your site will be spidered. One way to ensure it is to link up with sites that have similar content. Riciprocating links are one thing that the search engines LOVE!

ok. thnx again for the info

what about this one sir?

Ok not to be rude but I am not a sir. Get it, what was SevenofNine? A girl.

Now that we have that one out of the way.

Backups are restored through phpMyAdmin.

sorry. thought u r a sir. Very Happy

how in phpadmin?

Backups of the sql file are made thru phpmyadmin, just select your database. Scroll down to the bottom and select all of the tables then as Action select drop. Confirm that you want to drop all of the tables. Then at the top click on the name of your database beside the heading Database then click on sql and query the sql file that you backed up. Note sql will only backup the tables and not the site. For a full backup we recommend that you backup both the site and the sql file.

Does BACKUP DB in the Administrative Menu saves all data in the site including the forum posts?

if so if i reinstall the phpnuke or upgrade, can i install the data back?

Yes and Yes Embarassed

can u pl show how to install backup after upgrade or new installation of phpnuke

First off you do not need to restore a backup after upgrading. You would need to run the upgraders from whatever version you have until you reach the version you upgraded to.

Now to restore a backup assuming you were restoring a site to original condition. You would open phpMyAdmin in your control panel (Cpanel) click on the SQL tab. Once there (assuming there are no tables in the database) you would click on Browse. Then navigate to the location of your backup on your local computer, then click open and go. Thats it!
