Forum skins
is it possible to change the forum skin to another one than the same as the site has? i havea nice theme to the site but the forum part is hard to read and i would like to change just the forum skin
I've downloaded some skins from here before that didn't come with a matching forums.
So all I did was take one from another theme that I like, and put it in the theme without a forum or w/e.
So yeah, you can throw forums from other themes into one you want.
Just make sure you remove the forum you dont like, before putting the other one in.
Note: while you can take a forum template from another theme, it is not advisable as the css files will be different and you may not like the results. Text that is out of whack, missing images etc.
Also be aware that many themes that don't have forum templates are that way because they were written for versions of nuke that did not have the phpbb forum port to begin with. Which means you may be dealing with a very old theme and opening your site to unknown security risks.
Taking a phpbb forum template from a stock phpbb or form another theme is not supported and is
done so at your own risk!!!!!
